I really hate it's layout.. and wish for an option to give the user the option to use a Phoenix like layout (i.e. menu appearance/button layout) or use the newer firestorm UI/Layout. Firestorm has always given me headaches over it's layout and I've been using it since early July. So three weeks later and it still is a headache giver.

Thanks.Ravenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04560016704812012428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-57873214061697705312011-07-25T05:51:19.587-07:002011-07-25T05:51:19.587-07:00I've been using this viewer for quite some tim...I've been using this viewer for quite some time now. It took a while to get used to the layout, but once I did, it's SO much better. But now I'm somewhat upset - it's stopped working :( A recent UBUNTU update must have affected something, because now, I can't stay in SL for more than a minute before the entire viewer just dies. No crash notice, nothing - straight back to the desktop :( I hope a new version will be out soon, so I can see if it fixes the problem.Dana Draconiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06022907328375115225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-2869042914230028682011-07-24T16:09:44.950-07:002011-07-24T16:09:44.950-07:00The thing preventing me from switching is the lack...The thing preventing me from switching is the lack of scripting tools..Dundridge Dreadlowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04136071406677196031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-24030109011087805782011-07-24T16:04:58.645-07:002011-07-24T16:04:58.645-07:00Has anyone found Firestorm able to see beacons whi...Has anyone found Firestorm able to see beacons while in mouselook? In some ways, you are victims of your own success. Having put out such a great viewer once, people think that you can start there. Unfortunately, firestorm puts you back at square one (or at least, square 22 or so). Having to start with what LL gives you will be a handicap, but it can and will be overcome. If anyone can fix the interface, it will the the Phoenix/Firestorm team.

Oh, and if I didn't say it before, THANK YOU.Socrateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08815322555546933395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-55575329031887795362011-07-23T02:49:14.408-07:002011-07-23T02:49:14.408-07:00Webprims problems.

This is _known_, so why bring it up again?

What with the criticism on the appearance of Firestorm: it's already highly customizable as far as I can see, so that's fine by me cause I have set things so that it works like Phoenix for me.

But there is one thing that's keeping me from using the Firestorm beta on a regular basis: the screen font. I find it impossibly hard to read (and I'm not the only one), and changing that should have a top priority. NogarDrevlis Lectar came up with some very nice suggestions here, already on April 13: http://jira.phoenixviewer.com/browse/FIRE-881

I'm really wondering why nothing has been done about it yet. This problem _must_ be solved! No way out of it. As this is absolutely crucial for me, I will in the end choose the V2-based viewer with the best legibility. I very much hope it will be Firestorm. But I would abandon certain features for good legibility. The viewer shouldn't be underrated as a means of communication.

Make this post mine as well!ZZ BOTTOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08109784340055338008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-86511635342144800012011-07-20T06:25:41.504-07:002011-07-20T06:25:41.504-07:00I like firestorm nice looking feel etc however get...I like firestorm nice looking feel etc however getting issues with the build bit,eg;-taking exact copies of an object and even though it says it is dimension wise etc visually it sure as hell isnt and having to do way too much re-editing on stuff.Otherwise it runs well way better than LL's piss poor attempt at it.Tanukihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15812921082730649275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2674320998292574551.post-77987150864573467892011-07-19T12:46:41.243-07:002011-07-19T12:46:41.243-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
