Well of course dissapionted that Phoenix is being let go and this possibly getting toward the final nail in its coffin, anyway thanks for Phoenix and the past work and good times you gave us with it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe by some miricle Phoenix will live up to its name and rise from the ashes.
So much QQing about Phoenix. Suck it up and upgrade already. Phoenix is 1.23 based and is ancient. If you can't let go of the past and upgrade, then why bother to play SL?
ReplyDeleteHey maybe GreenLife Emerald will resurrect itself too, and start walking around like a zombie. But anyway, you will like Wordpress much better than blogger.
ReplyDeleteTime to move on to Singularity Viewer full time. I'll use Cool VL Viewer as my backup.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion would be to move on with dignity if you feel you need to move on... and without the shame of leaving sour grapes in your wake :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for Phoenix... and thanks for firestorm. your VOLUNTEER effort has been and always will be appreciated!
My 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteI used Phoenix from the beginning, even when it was called Emerald. I LOVED it. I wouldn't use anything else. Then came the Viewer 2 Revolution. I HATED it. I tried to use viewer 2 but just couldn't wrap my wee little brain around it and gave up on it. Then came Firestorm, another Viewer 2 iteration, and the same, I hated it. I got to thinking, "One of these days, they are going to shut down all 1.xxx viewers, so I think I better get used to it". So I tried Firestorm again, with a different perspective.
Now I could not think of myself ever going back to 1.xxx Viewers. In fact, it's beens o long since I have been on the beloved Phoenix Viewer that I don't even know how to operate it anymore. I will still hold a certain place for Phoenix, as it was the viewer that got me into building stuff and that I learned alot of things ON. But, sadly, we all must move on. It's the nature of the beast.
Thank You Jessica and the entire Phoenix/Firestorm Development/Support staff for volunteering so much of your time to keeping us up to date and beyond in our SL experience.
If you feel the need to find a different viewer because you won't let go of the past, then that is your prerogative, just don't insult the Phoenix/Firestorm staff by saying you are. That's just downright distasteful and rude. Not too mention it's kinda showing us just how spoiled and immature you are. Just move on with dignity!
