For complete release notes, including new features, fixes, improvements, changes and known issues please see our change log here:

Please note: As usual we highly recommend performing a clean install.

We may be a little while before our next release since it's going to require considerable work, like merging to LL's latest code, Havok, setting up our separate builds for SL/OpenSim, and most importantly... stabilizing all that new stuff.

Enjoy the update!

  5. I started using Linux Mint full time, and I have to say that Firestorm works perfectly on it. All those reasons that made me stick to Phoenix and Singularity on Windows, such as stability and lag, aren't a problem on Linux. That plus now I have upgraded my CPU and Ram by double lately. For once I can run this viewer and see the full advantages of such.

  6. i'll download OSgrid version asap, it is the only one i'm interested to use!
Tks Firestorm team to keep making it possible, we sure need a good viewer for Open sims and even personally i don't use it on SL, i far more appreciate and recommend its use in Open sims grids!

  7. And it works flawless, V3 interface allows a minimal clustered interface, Ao works as expected, flirk upload, same!
    Some questions:
Rlv is disabled by default and still needs to shut down the viewer to enable it? (Yes OSG has full functional RLV support).
No tone mapping, is to be expected on v5?

  8. the toolbar destination guide doesn't work at all anymore and the regular search destination guide can't seem to find anything in the adult content filter....

  9. Not the OSG 1 im sure, that worked as good as any can expect!
For the sake of All, report the grid you are connecting 2!!!
There are more then 200 known grids besides Second Life, Firestorm allows almost all of them (Are Inlworldz and 3spotOn the exceptions???)

  10. As usual, the latest firestorm bridge doesn't work on a Mac. I'm sooo done trying. Spent HOURS trying to do a "clean install." Going to a quiet sim, waiting for everything to "fetch." And before we start with the comments, I'm running a 1.5 year old iMac, 27 Inch, with a 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB, running at 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6970M, 1024 MB, a terrabyte of memory and the LATEST OS X 10.8.1 Mountain Lion. Yes my drivers are ALWAYS current. Oh and my internet connection? 11.38 mbps download speed and 1.41 mbps upload.

    1. Doesn’t run on your Mac, if you say so. I’m not exactly fond of generalization. Runs fine here (Mac Pro early 2008).

  14. Is there any plans for future release or a current way change the contacts to allow show profile pictures instead the old pheonix green person icon as the picture icon was a nice touch to the contacts i thought

  15. I could connect Firestorm to flickr and now I can't connect, so I did what your wiki suggested, disconnect from the app Kitty Viewer, and now I can't connect to Kitty Viewer. So I installed exodus, and hoped that would solve the problem but I still cannot connect to flickr via Firestorm or Exodus. can any one help please.
